The short version
No accounts, no cookies, no ads, and nothing is sold. Vantage keeps public Valorant match data about players someone has looked up, and page-view counts that carry no player names. Anything that identifies you as a visitor stays in your own browser.
Data about players
When someone looks up a Riot ID, Vantage fetches that player's public match and rating data from the HenrikDev API, a community service built on Riot Games' data. It stores what it fetched in a database run by Supabase in the EU (Ireland), so the history stays available and the site does not ask for it again on every visit:
- the Riot ID, region, account level, player card, and current and peak rank;
- the player's own line in each competitive match: agent, score, kills, deaths, assists, shots, damage, the result, the RR change and the rank they had in that match;
- their rank history;
- the days on which their profile was viewed, one row per day, without anything about who viewed it;
- for the matches themselves: map, mode, score, and which agents played on each side with each seat's rank. That last part has no names and no player IDs, so it says how strong a lobby was, never who was in it.
The legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): statistics and coaching on game data that is public in the game itself. You can object at any time, and you do not need to give a reason: Remove my profile deletes a player's stored history, their profile views and their rank history, and blocks the Riot ID from being looked up again. What remains is the block itself.
Visiting the site
Vantage is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel handles the technical data a browser sends with every request (IP address, time, the page asked for, browser type) to deliver the page and keep the service secure, and keeps server logs of it for a limited time. The site's functions run in Vercel's EU region (Dublin).
Page views are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not follow you across sites. Before a view is reported, the Riot ID is removed from the address in your browser, so the count knows that a profile was viewed but not whose. The legal basis is legitimate interest in knowing which pages are used.
Kept only in your browser
The list of players you viewed recently, the profile you marked with “This is me”, and what you had already seen on a profile (for the “new” marks) are kept in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to Vantage or anyone else. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
Feedback
If you send feedback, Vantage stores your message, the contact you chose to add (if any), the profile you chose to attach (if any), the time, and a scrambled, salted fingerprint of your IP address that is used only to stop the form being flooded. Your IP address itself is not stored.
The message is then forwarded to the operator's Discord server as a notification. Discord is a US company, so the message leaves the EU on that step. Please do not put anything in a message you would not want read there.
Sending feedback is your choice, and the basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Feedback is kept while it is useful for improving the site, and deleted on request. Write to the address above.
The Discord bot
When someone uses the Vantage bot's /vantage command in a Discord server, Discord sends Vantage the Riot ID that was typed and the id of the server. Vantage answers with the same public profile the site shows, and the answer is visible to everyone in that channel.
Vantage does not store who used the command. The server's id is kept only as a scrambled, salted fingerprint, to count how many servers use the bot. The basis is legitimate interest in running the bot and knowing whether it is used.
A server's managers can ask for a player's weekly recap with /vantage-weekly. For that, Vantage keeps the id of the channel the recap goes to and the Riot ID, and posts the player's week there every Monday: games, record, win rate, RR and the profile's read — the same public figures the site shows. Who asked is not stored. The subscription ends with /vantage-weekly stop, when the channel is deleted, and when the player removes their profile from Vantage, which deletes every subscription to it.
Your rights
You can ask what Vantage stores about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and receive it in a portable form. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live.
